Flash In The Pan Racing Results

10/1	Feature - 2nd With Bill in Florida, guest driver "Big" Al Cheney (who usually runs the #73 Super Stock at New Egypt) drew the second starting spot for this last race of the season. The green flag dropped and off he went, leading the first half of the race. A caution on lap 7 brought the field back together and second place car Ken Watson in the #6 got us on the re-start. "Big" Al put his foot to the floor and grabbed the lead back 2 laps later. On lap 13, we lost the lead again to Ken Watson because we had a tire going down, but "Big" Al kept the M80 out there to hold on for second.
9/24	Feature - 17th Started in mid-pack and was making our way to the front when Bill spun out in turn 4. He pulled into the pits to make sure nothing was wrong and was able to get back out on the tail end of the lead lap. Three laps later, he had battled up to second spot was racing Pat Hires in the 25 car for the lead. After running nose-to-nose for the second half of the race, our car started over heating and with 2 laps to go , Bill pulled her into the pits for the rest of the night..
9/17	Owners Jamie and Jennifer had a prior commitment, so the M80 will not be at the track this week.
9/10	Feature - 1st WE WON!! AGAIN!! Started on the pole and walked away with a straightaway lead. On lap 10 there was a caution which allowed the rest of the field to catch up. 2nd place Pat Conaway put up a battle for the last 5 laps, but Bill held onto the lead to take the checkers.
9/3	Feature - 14th Started 14th and made our way up to 4th when, on lap 2, someone got into us and spun us out, sending us to the back to the field. By lap 7, we weaved our way back up to 7th, when a car spun out on the back stretch. Unfortunately, we had no where to go and we side-swiped him, ripping our right-side door off. Got into the pits and Jamie and the rest of the crew were able to remove what was left of the door and get Bill back out on the track. Bill weaved his way through traffic and back up to the front of the pack in the 3rd spot, however after the checkers dropped, the officials informed us that we were actually a lap down because we lost a lap when we were in the pits removing the door, so we wound up 14th.
8/27	Feature - 17th Started 12th and coming around turn 4, a bunch of cars got into each other, including us. Broke a control arm and we were done for the night.
8/20	Feature - 13th Started 15th and was beginning to move through the pack, when on lap 3, we blew a tire. Went to the pits and the crew did a great job and was able to get him back out on the track under yellow at the tail end of the lap. Soon the right front brake started glowing but that didn't bother Bill as he started making his way to through the pack again. Then on lap 8, we lost the right front shock and bent the upper control arm - but Bill was still going. On lap 10 we were up to 6th place, but the officials black flagged us for the right front and our evening was over.
8/13	Feature - 1st TWO IN A ROW! Started last and fought our way through the pack, battling Pat Conaway through the turns. By lap 7, we passed Pat and turned our sights on Rich Reider in the 15 and Ken Watson in the 6 who were fighting for 1st. After a a couple of laps of edge-of-your-seat, side-by-side racing action, we grabbed the lead and held on to it all the way to victory lane for the 3rd time this season. Great job Bill!!
8/6	Feature - 1st WE WON!! AGAIN!! Started 14th and moved to the front early on. Bill and Pat Conaway battled it out through the whole race, with Bill taking the checkered for the 2nd time this season. Way to go Bill!!
7/30	Feature - DNF Started 16th and on the first lap, someone got into us, causing us to spin and break the left rear axle.
7/23	Feature - 1st WE WON!! Started 8th and had the lead by lap 2 and stayed there til the end. Way to go Bill on our first win - hope there is many more to come!!!
7/16	RAINED OUT
7/9	Feature - 2nd Started 8th and took the lead early in the race. Stayed up front til we came up to a lap car. Bill went around him on the inside - actually on the infield - and the second place guy went around on the outside, passing us as he did it. For the rest of the race, another impresive battle, in which we finished 2nd.
7/2	Make-up Feature (from June 4th)- 2nd We started 10th and made a good run on the rough track, but the series point leader got us again. Feature (regularly scheduled show)- 13th We started in the back and within a couple of laps, made our way through the pack to second place. Stayed in second until we broke a tie-rod with only one lap left.
6/25	Feature - 2nd Our new driver, Bill Miller, Jr. started 13th and weaved his way through the pack to take the lead on lap 10. When the series point leader caught us with only a couple of laps left, an impressive battle ensued in which we took second.
6/18	Feature - 3rd Guest Driver Bill Miller, Jr. started 8th and got off to a shaky start with a spin on lap 3 that dropped him back to 13th. But once he got a feel for the car, he started passing people left and right and made his way back through the pack to finish 3rd.
6/11	Due to a death in our driver's family, we will not be racing this week.
6/4	Feature #1 (make up from last week) - 7th We finally finished a feature - and did it running only on 6 cylinders. We were battling Dave Wilhelm for 3rd when on lap 10 we started loosing power. Turns out that 2 spark plug wires came off. Feature #2 (regularly scheduled show) - Due to an hour-long Red Flag in the Sportsman race, once again our feature is postponed til next week when they will attempt to run 2 Outlaw Stock features again.
5/28	Feature - Due to a late starting time because of earlier rain, our feature was postponed until next week.
5/21	Unfortunately, our driver had prior commitments, so we did not go to the track.
5/14	Heat Race - WE WON Feature - 7th - DNF We were in the lead and with 4 laps left, we broke another tie-rod.
5/7	Heat Race - Due to time constraints, there were no heat races Feature - 15th - DNF Broke another tie-rod

4/16	Heat Race - 7th - DNF Broke a tie-rod Feature - 13th - DNF Big wreck on lap 10. Took out 10 cars - unfortunately, ours was one of them.
4/9	Heat Race - WE WON Feature - 16th - DNF Got into an altercation with another car on lap 12 which bent a control arm.
